Shortly before our arrival at the settlement, we stop to take panoramic photos, since our road is uphill and the scenery we see is quite breathtaking. Our guide explains the importance of the place, which was once a castle of the Knights Hospitaller.

Arriving in Lindos we face the Acropolis of the 3rd century BC. placed in a prominent position on the peaks of the settlement. Walking through the narrow cobbled streets, we can admire the unique architecture of the traditional houses, which are characteristically white and square.

The temple located on the Acropolis is an example of ancient Greek religion and mythology and is dedicated to the goddess Athena. According to tradition, Lindos was founded by the Danaids, the 50 daughters of the Argive hero Danaus, who built a temple of Athena in Lindos, coming to the island from Egypt where they lived.

Our tour ends by going around Lindos and learning historical facts about this beautiful place.
